Now that we have a functioning board, a few buck in the bank and a site, we’re looking to add to the bucks and let people know about Miracle League of Arizona and it’s mission.
To that end our Community Liaison officer, Terry Mickelson has slated us for participation in the ‘Great Cardboard Boat Regatta’ as one of the local community organizations in attendance on April 22, 2006 at Tempe Town Lake.
The regatta is part of the Rotary River Rally held annually as a family fun event for Rotary. Sue Strebe’s article on the Rotary District 5510 website has a great explanation of what happened and Terry is working with our Volunteer Development officer, Gene Udvare in making sure Miracle League has a positive image in attendance.
Come on down and take in what looks to be a great time and a real test of ingenuity at the Great Cardboard Boat Regatta – make sure you get your Miracle League button!
